Kanha National Park is one of the best kept tiger reserves in India and is located in Madhya Pradesh. For wildlife safary inside the park one has to be book ticket online in advance.
Kanha National Park is 165 Km from Jabalpur and it is spread over over 940 Sqr Km in the Maikal range of Satpuras. This Park was declared a national park in 1955. KanhaNationalPark is divided into four zones -Kanha, Kisli, Mukki, and Sarhi. In this Park various animals can be seen frequently like Bengal Tiger, Bison, Langur, Barasingha or the famous swamp deer, spotted deer, Chital and Gaur. Eagle, Indian peacocks and different species of owl are common to Kanha.
When to go?
The park is open daily from October to June. Opening hours and safari duration vary as per the season, the best time to get a chance to see a tiger is from February to May.
How to reach?
Nearest cities to the park are Jabalpur (165 km to Khatia gate), Raipur (260 km to Mukki gate), and Nagpur (300 km to Mukki gate). Taxi can be hired from these cities to Kanha.
