Jabalpur High Court was constructed in 1899. It is famous for superb architecture. The building is constructed in brick-lime with ornamental towers and cornices. The architecture of the building is mixed baroque and oriental. In this building there were 14 court rooms including the court room of Hon’ble the Chief Justice.
MP High Court was established in Nagpur, but when the States were re-created in 1956, it was established in Jabalpur. The court has two permanent benches at Indore and Gwalior.
The State Government on the recommendation of Hon’ble the #ChiefJustice sanctioned extension of this building at the cost of more than Rupees three crores.
High Court is located in South Civil Lines Jabalpur.
At present Hon’ble chief justice is Shri Hemant Gupta.
